The Geary Utility Authority is responsible for the operation, maintenance, and management of essental City services. This Authority has the work force, equipment, and budget to operate their daily duties so citizen’s see little to no interruption in these vital necessities.

Pay Your Bills
You may pay your bills with any of the following methods:

  • Pay at City Hall (Night deposit box located outside)
  • Through the mail

Please remember the payment stub from your bill when paying at City Hall, using the night drop, or mailing in your payment. Please have your bill available when paying over the telephone or using online payment.

Utility Deposits = $400 for residential or small businesses
                                      $500 to $2,500 for medium to learge businesses
                                      (deposit based on potential useage of services)
Utility Transfers = $15
Reconnect (per utlitiy) = $30
Utility Tampering Reconnect Fee = $500 prior to restoration of utilities
Gas Taps = $300 (includes fast tap, anode less risers, poly pipe, and labor)
                        $7,500 (2 inch commercial poly pipe
                        $1,500 (steel lines and parts)
Water Taps = $400 (3/4 inch to 1 inch lines)
                             $600 (2 inch lines plus cost of street boring)
Rural Water Taps = $2,500 (inclues $100 impact fee)
Sewer Taps = $250
Street Repair from Taps = $100 per ton of asphalt (subject to the cost)
Stripped Water Valve Repair = $50 + parts
Electric Hook Ups = $100 labor + cost of pole + $250 meter box
Security Lights = $10
Dumpster Rental = $15/monthly
Limb Removal = $100 per load (cut in 4 foot lengths)
Mowing of Property = $150 per hour per lot
House or Building Removal = $500 + dumpster for small/single story buildings
                                                              $1,000 + dumpster for large/two story building
Research Fees = $10 per hour
Copies = $0.25 per page
Faxes = $1 per page
Inspection = $29.50
Fence and Burn Permits (required) = Free
Building and Trailer Permits = $20
Annual Contractor Permits = $100 first year
