Limb Collection: November 2020
The City of Geary is currently working with the Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) to approve a legal site for the City and its citizens to dispose of the tree limbs that fell due to the ice storm. We hope to have a dedicated sight approved on November 4, 2020. We ask for your patience with us; as soon as we have an update, we will announce it. Please note that this site will be for tree limbs only. Once a site is approved, you will be able to haul tree limbs to the site weekdays from 8 am to 5 pm and Saturdays from 8 am to 5 pm. There will be no Sunday hours.
The City of Geary will begin picking up limbs on November 16, 2020. We ask that citizens pile limbs on the right of way and not on the road. Please do not put tree limbs on top of or around any water meters or gas meters. Collections will begin on the north end of town and go down every street working south until we have picked up all limbs placed in the right of way. The City will make one pass through to pick up all tree limbs on the right of way. We will not collect any limbs placed for collection after November 16, 2020.
